BLINK_live is an annual conference by MediaCom APAC held in Singapore. A future-focused forum that challenges current thinking, stimulates new conversations and inspires bright minds in the media and advertising industry.
We were approached by agency Ink+Iris to help them develop a visual identity for the conference, feature animation and the environmental design of the space.
Looking at their main objectives, we found that BLINK is the environment for these conversations to happen. We compared it to the concept of refraction – attendees coming to the conference with certain ideas and leaving with a whole new perspective on the industry and what they can bring to it.
Starting with the feature animation, we built out this story and created a series of visuals we could use for the overall identity. The supporting graphics had to be striking and forward thinking, and unapologetic in their approach, to inspire attendees.
Ink + Iris
By creating angles in the stage and using reflective surfaces throughout the space, we were able to physically represent refraction, giving attendees an immersive experience. We went for a 9.5m LED screen to make sure the animation and content was always the focus, although we think Sophia the Robot may have upstaged us!
